Inclement Weather Policy
Sunday
When weather circumstances render sidewalks, streets, and highways impassable or unsafe for mobility, and if this situation exists on a Sunday, a determination will be made about the feasibility of holding the regularly scheduled Worship Service. The trustees will make a collective decision whether to hold Worship Services, and this decision along with a recommendation will be communicated to the pastor no later than 7:30 a.m. Sunday morning. If the decision is that the worship service should be canceled, the Pastor will send an email to the membership. The Pastor will also place a message carrying information relevant to the weather decision on the church phone 301-388-0835, no later than 8:00 a.m.
Midweek
The weather policy of the Prince George’s County school system will be followed. When the schools are closed or when they are dismissed early, the Charis Bible Study will not meet. Local television and radio stations carry all school closings and the Pastor will send an e-mail message to all class members, along with placing a message on the church telephone, 301-388-0835.
